MAYDAY

Why is it easier to seek counsel from men than from God, our Father? If we ignore counselling with Him on matters are we not rejecting His counsel?

Philippians 4:6-7

  1. For me it is because many times men will tell me what I WANT to hear, not necessarily what I NEED to hear

  4. Actually, Yohannes, that was a question I asked in my prayer journal the other day. Then I decided to ask others to weigh in on the issue. So, I'd have to say, 'Yes, but no.'

  5. I'm only talking about seeking counsel, danny, not about creating alliances. Surely there is a difference between asking advice and making a pact isn't there?

  6. sorry, i thought--so the men of israel took some of their provisions [and advices one another bout them] and did not ask for the counsel of the Lord.--had some application.
